This year we had the largest crowd yet that we’ve hosted for Thanksgiving. It was tons of time and work but even bigger tons of fun so I would say it was worth it. 😊 Nothing makes me happier than being able to host a beautiful event for friends and family to enjoy their day, celebrate each other and eat to their heart’s content.
I opted for a simply decorated, fall themed buffet table that would work throughout the day taking us from appetizers….
I love the wooden crates that I picked up from a local craft store. I think they will be excellent props for future buffets and dessert tables. They definitely made great use of a smaller table by offering extra space for all those casserole side dishes and pumpkin pies.
Remember the Michaels’ clearance carving pumpkins? Well I know I was planning ahead, but I grabbed one of those 70 percent off bargains and carved out the top for a flower vase. Although the pumpkin was so cute I had trouble deciding to do flowers in it or just leave it as a pumpkin. You could totally do it either way for a rustic, fall decoration…. well, until you carve it into a vase, that is … ah, decisions, decisions.
